  Cantata BWV 19 ES ERHUB SICH EIN STREIT (Se entabló una batalla) Fiesta de San Miguel Arcángel Primera audición: 29 de septiembre de 1726 Johann Sebastian Bach   Es erhub sich ein Streit, BWV 19 (Se entabló una batalla)  es una cantata de iglesia escrita por  Johann Sebastian Bach  en Leipzig para la  Fiesta de San Miguel  y fue estrenada el  29 de septiembre de 1726. La obra está escrita para tres solistas vocales (soprano, tenor y bajo) y un coro a cuatro voces; tres trompas, timbales, dos oboes, oboe da caccia, dos oboes d'amore, dos violines, viola y bajo continuo.  Tradicionalmente en Leipzig, en la época de Bach, las celebraciones de la  Fiesta de San Miguel  requerían una orquesta más amplia.   THE CHAPLET OF SAINT MICHAEL In 1751 Saint Michael appeared to Antonia d’Astonac, a Carmelite nun in Portugal, and told her that he wished to be honored by nine salutations corresponding to the nine Choirs of Angels, which should consist of one Our Father and three Hail Marys in honor of each of the angelic choirs.
